Indian mobile manufacturing company, Micromax has launched its latest smartphone models, the Micromax Canvas 6, while also announcing the Micromax Canvas 6 Pro model. Till now, we have always noticed that the Pro version of any model invariably comes packed with higher technical specifications offering more power and also better features and usability. Thus, the Pro models also come at an additional premium, as they are always the more premium and better loaded versions of the regular counterparts.
However, Micromax begs to be different here and has played a new game in the case of the Canvas 6 and the Canvas 6 Pro smartphone models. The whole notion of the Pro version being more loaded and more expensive than the regular model has been changed with the latest offerings – Micromax Canvas 6 and Micromax Canvas 6 Pro. As both the smartphone mobiles are sort of balanced in terms of specs and features, while keeping the price point same for both. Thus, the new Micromax Canvas 6 is definitely not a lesser version of the Micromax Canvas 6 Pro, as it is packed well and more so in comparison with the Canvas 6 Pro. So, the buying decisions between these two smartphone models really depend on the user’s personal presence.
The new Micromax Canvas 6 and the Micromax Canvas 6 Pro have been priced exactly the same, while the devices themselves are different in terms of looks, specifications and features.
While the new Canvas 6 Pro and the Canvas 6 are essentially the same product, they have considerable differences that make them look and feel very different from each other. These smartphone siblings from the house of Micromax are different when it comes to several aspects, such as design and build, RAM, inbuilt memory space, camera specs and Fingerprint reader. These various differences have been made in such a way, so that none of the Micromax Canvas 6 and the Micromax Canvas 6 Pro can be termed lesser than the other.
However, if you don’t know the difference between the Micromax Canvas 6 and the Micromax Canvas 6 Pro, then it is really difficult to decide which one to actually go for, especially when both these smartphone models have been priced exactly the same.
In order to remove the confusion between the two new Micromax smartphone models, here we are going to look into both the Micromax Canvas 6 and Micromax Canvas 6 Pro to find out their similarities and most importantly, their differences:
Design & Build
The new Micromax Canvas 6 flaunts a nice a metal body that looks more premium and adheres to the latest vogue of metal body smartphones. On the other hand, the new Micromax Canvas 6 Pro comes with the more usual and common Polycarbonate body construction. As a matter of fact, due to the built, the Canvas 6 does look better than the Canvas 6 Pro. While the basic design is the same in both the devices, they look very different from each other.
Another latest vogue is the add-on feature of the Fingerprint sensor, which is actually very useful as a security feature. The important security feature of the Fingerprint reader to lock and unlock your personal device is present in the Canvas 6. The Canvas 6 gets the Fingerprint sensor at its rear. However, this feature has been given a miss in the Canvas 6 Pro.
RAM & Storage
RAM and onboard storage matters a lot in any smartphone model, as these specs ensure the device’s performance well as well in storage capacity. In terms of RAM, the Canvas 6 Pro is a better device, as it is endowed with a good 4 GB of RAM’s support, while the Canvas 6 offers 3 GB of RAM. When inbuilt memory is concerned, then the Canvas 6 Pro comes with 16 GB of internal storage as compared against the internal memory of 32 GB in the Canvas 6.
When it comes to the primary rear snappers, both the Canvas 6 and the Canvas 6 Pro are exactly the same with matching camera specs. To take care of all the photo shooting and video needs both the new devices are packed with 13 MP of rear camera along with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.
However, both the devices are again dissimilar in terms of front facing secondary cameras. While the Canvas 6 offers an 8 MP snapper to handle all the selfie and video chat sessions, the Canvas 6 Pro packs in a lesser 5 MP selfie camera.
Display, Battery & other Features
Both the Canvas 6 and the Canvas 6 Pro offer the same large 5.5 inch Full High Definition displays along with the same screen resolution. So there’s no difference here.
Then again, both the smartphone models also pack in the same 3,000 mAh battery pack that is enough to power the similar sized devices efficiently and offer around a whole day’s work and play, although hands on verdict on the battery life is still pending.
Both the Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro offer around feature that used to be called as around Yu earlier and was only available in Yu models, but will be available in all Micromax smartphones going forward.
